Future
Volunteer Program
The Ambient Foundation is in the preliminary stages of planning
projects in Africa, South America, and
South Asia. Our Mission: Sustainable Development and
Capacity Building through access clean energy. Electrical
power, education,
agriculture, and tools for enterprise provided by
the Ambient Foundation and its partners comprise a critical step towards building a sustainable
community.
Volunteers will assess the cultural environment and determine community needs
based on their findings. These recommendations
will serve as the basis for the level of aid the Ambient Foundation
will provide. The primary goal is to set up an Ambient
electrical generating station. Other potential village
projects include: wiring the village and providing power for a
school, a small hospital, and other necessities such as
lighting, an electric stove, a water pump and filter, hot water bathing
facilities, hospital climate control, radio, and an
internet-connected computer. Commercial enterprise may be supported with
items such as irrigation pumps, sewing machines, small parts
assembly equipment, and night lights.
Volunteers
will be educated, trained, and prepared for the trip. Prior
to travel, the Ambient team will assess the social
and political climate, the level of need and the
requirements for successful travel. We will
aim to travel to destinations where teams will be safe,
helpful, and welcomed. The Ambient team will provide
equipment, food, health requirements, and necessities for
the trip. Individual trips may last two to four weeks.
Training will include:
 |
Culture, history, and basic language of your destination village.
|
 |

nature and operation of the Ambient energy generators. |

Skills
for living in the community, working with its people, and
completing our objectives. |
 |

 |
Training on specific
equipment such as sewing machines, high efficiency kitchen equipment,
